About Me:
I am a passionate, community-minded person who comes from an extensive background in Music Performance, Arts Education and Arts Administration. My music has always shaped my life, and my accomplishments in that arena mean a lot to me. I am currently collaborating on a regular basis with other singers as one of 8 artistic co-directors for musica intima, a Vancouver-based professional choir. We were nominated for 2 Juno Awards in 2011 and won best classical album at the West Coast Music Awards in 2010. Before venturing into real estate, I worked full-time in the arts ~ primarily as a teacher at Capilano University in their jazz department while gigging on the side as a composer and band leader. I recorded a record of my own writing for jazz quintet and won the Galaxy Rising Star Award in 2009 at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival.
How did I get into Real Estate via music? They say life is about preparation meeting opportunity ~ I was already a successful business-minded self-starter with years of project management under my belt ~ but I felt I was missing the life balance I yearned for. The truth is, I got where I am today because I believe that it is possible to design a life that you are completely excited about living, and I wanted to do that for myself. I entered this business because it serves the larger vision I have for my life and most importantly, because I believe that the particular service I am providing for other women ultimately aides in the creation of balance in their lives as well.
I truly believe that every woman can “have it all” when we understand what we want and why we want it and this is my philosophy in Real Estate. If you understand your priorities and how to best use the resources that are available to you, you will always be moving towards the larger vision you have for your life. Even though every individual circumstance is naturally different, my opinion remains steadfast in that I absolutely believe that acquiring property is one of the best financial decisions a woman can make to support not only her independence, but her long-term financial security. I’m here because I want to facilitate that process and make home ownership as easy and stress-free a process as possible for women everywhere.
